life, momma said, is bloodletting go
Oct. 9th, 2009 11:30 amSo.
Friday.
*bounce*
So. Much. To. Do.
*vibrate*
But that being said, today is a good day, in spite of everything that in Bad Brain Mode, I would let drag me down.
I like Good Brain days. They make me happy.
Last night, I read a book. I know. How is this news? Well, it's been a while. And it's a *wonderful* book. My copy of Fledgling by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller arrived the night before last and I've been devouring it. I don't want it to end. And I read it when it was in draft form! The finished version is so much better and I thought the draft was killer.
If you have half a chance, pick it up. It's a wonderful entry into their Liaden Universe series and best of all, it's perfect YA fodder for whoever you might be pointing at science fiction. Another one I will hand my daughters when they're 12 or so, to go with Catheryne Valente's The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (which somebody had better frikken' publish in a paper volume, or I'm gonna lose it).
So I'm full of wonderful book. The rest last night and the book make me feel like I had a four day weekend vacation.
Isn't it wonderful what a good book can do?
And now I stuff food in my face, because I'm so hungry, I could gnaw my own arm off.
