And then there’s this…idea. I’ve been shooting photos based on goddesses for some time now. It’s time to add to it and Artemis and Sekhmet have made it clear that it’s their turn to shine.

So.

Without further ado, I am looking for the following props for free/cheap/loan/borrow:

Antler headdress

Faux roses, the larger, the better, color doesn’t matter

Enormous Frida Kahlo type Mexican circle skirt, painted or not

Mexican blouse to go with skirt

Wicked looking bow and arrows – (should I be concerned how easy it is for me to acquire weapons for my photo shoots…?)

Gold fabric, can be shiny, patterned, doesn’t matter

The team player length of netting

Lion mane (yes, you read that right, a lion mane)

Crook & ankh

Stage blood

Beige lace fabric

Beige tulle

I think that’s it. And as usual, don’t you wish you knew I was up to. *grin*

Actor/Prop/Venue Second Request: Vaudeville Goes to Hell

Script breakdown is commencing. Draft of the crowdfunding campaign for the recording of the demo of all the songs for the show is complete, but even before that, we need…

Key art. Which means photographs. This is where you, yes YOU, come in. You know the drill by now: I’m looking for the following to do a photo shoot to put together the concept art.

I’m looking for performers as the following:

The Cat Herders

The Acrobat – I have a volunteer

The Burlesque Trio

The Stage Manager – I may play this role if I can’t find a body. Don’t do that to me. Anybody know how I can contact Zooey Deschanel or her agent?

The Road Manager – I have a line on this one, but he hasn’t said yes yet. Still waiting for an up or down from him.

The Comedian (or Comedienne) – ditto on a line. Done!

The Young Lovers (“Get him away from me!”) – Done!

The Diva – do I need to explain? – Done!

The Ingenue – help!

The Tap Dancers – ditto!

The Devil – and he’s perfect

The Voice of God – ditto

The Devil’s Attorney – help!

Props Needed:

The Contract

Heavy pen

A heavy rope

Silks, preferably in red, but whatever you’ve got

Pack o’ cigarettes

Cigars

Costumes:

The Ant and I will probably make most of this, but if someone wants to design and construct for the shoot and film, I will not say no.

Obvee costumes for all of the above as well as:

Carmen Miranda type costume, including headdress o’ fruit

Shabby Dogsuit

Robes/kimonos for performers in between costumes – one down, more would be lovely

Location/Venue:

A rundown theater

A rundown bar

A crossroads in the middle of frikken’ nowhere

And as always, I’ll add/subtract to this as I go. Any and all feedback, welcome!

This will be for Deferred Pay and will be a SAG Low Budget Production, so if you are Union, don’t worry. I will have the agreement in hand and yes, there will be pay.

Let the cackling begin! If all goes well, I will finally capture my Alice in April! So! With no further ado!

Dear LazyWeb:

I *still* have to talk to the lovely lady who has been suggested as our White Rabbit. I suck.

Still open for more someones not body shy, bendy and willing.

I'm looking for the following props at free or cheap:

Rabbit ears in frankly any color or material

A backless vest, i.e. like a tuxedo vest

Pocket watch

Top hat

Large overcoat, any color, any shape, ragged is good.

Blue, low cut shirt, can be see through, with a military feel.

Wide white belt with loops/straps, lots of buckles.

Navy blue cargo pants or fatigues.

Blue boots, preferably on the stompy side.

A big ass shotgun/sniper rifle. Can be of fantasy variety, not remotely real.

1 white or silver waist cincher

1 pair of white high heels

Safety pins ( A LOT of safety pins)

White feathers or big ass white boa - may have a line on this downtown

1 martini shaker (mine has gone walkies)

Rhinestone jewelry of huge ridiculous size, diamond shape (think cards, not stones) accessories, again plastic is absolutely fine - I have one necklace, but more stuff would be appreciated.

Black ruffle mini skirt

I've already got the team playing piece of white fabric, the big ass martini glass, and the big ass knife.

I have to talk to the lovely lady who has been suggested as our White Rabbit. I suck. My life has eaten my head, but especially with Alice being the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo, this is very much on my mind.

1 red (small) corset

1 red crown or tiara with red stones (MUST BE RED); hearts for extra bonus round, can totally be metallic plastic, don't care

Heart accessories, jewelry, preferably in red or with red stones, again, plastic is acceptable within reason

1 plastic flamingo, can be pink, but if it frikken' exists in red, omg tell me where

1 stuffed animal of hedgehog variety

UPDATE:  Today is the Red/Heart Queen shoot!  Huzzah!  A & S will be here in a few hours.  I'm going to try and nap before they arrive so I'm not a complete wreck.  Didn't manage to find a hedgehog, but we are having the round pink cat stand in for croquet ball.

For models, I am still in need of a White Queen, contortionists willing to be cards of the Heart variety (though more are always welcome), at least one who'd be willing to be the Ace of Hearts and a Knave of Hearts (these can be the same person).

Gender doesn't matter. Must be willing to be nude or pretty damn near it. Body type doesn't matter either. Looking for real human beings who are comfortable in their own skin and low on drama. (I know, crazy talk.)

Prop Requests

THE FINAL EDIT: Shoot is this Saturday.   As of COB today, I am on vacation/parental leave, also known as, doing the work that matters to me.  Laying about is for sissies.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

I've gotten every prop *but one*.  Which is just fine. 

To everyone who has been so awesome (<lj user = "stacymckenna">, I am especially looking at you), I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I hardly have words.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

MAJOR EDIT: Studio acquired!!! WOOT!!! *does Stoked Photographer Dance of Ecstasy* And it is made of total Awesome! Where the Awesome is blinding and perfect! Insert Jack Black saying these words! Can you tell I am super super super excited?

So, I'm a month 27 26 24 21 18 16 14 10  1.5 days out from the next shoot with the Mad Model, M and A. EDIT: Boo. M&A are off to choir tour. Next time, my pretties! I'll get you and your little dog too! Oh wait. That probably just blew my cover, didn't it... EDIT the II: OMG, M&A may be available after all!!! WOOOT!!!  EDIT the III:  They're available!!!

I need and want the following items:

1 to 2 gallons of Krylon or Nye blood    EDIT:  DUDE.  *Amazon* sells Ben Nye stage blood.  For dirt cheap.  For 2 Gal.  HEE!  Acquired!
1 crappy thin white dress or negligee EDIT: I found a black one in the pile of things from Katharine. The Ant wants to kill me for wanting to destroy it. It's designer and I'm gonna take scissors to it. Dude. It was free and we're not likely to wear it any time soon.
1 large bag of wood fireplace ash
1 gothic candelabra, floor standing if possible EDIT: So, seriously, any chance of this? Anybody got any ideas at all? Or should I just eject this? It's not like I don't have a shot list as long as my arm...
1 set of black horns, rams if at all possible (if ram, they don't need to be black)
Several yards of white gauze or white sheer fabric, gauze being ideal
1 wooden tub EDIT: Ditto here. Any ideas? I think I'm cutting some stuff...
1 small fire pit or hibachi without the grill
1 large skein of black wool, partly spun (Christine, I'm looking at you, oh please,ohpleaseohpleaseohplease) EDIT: I have a line on white and some red Ritt dye... EDIT the II: Am going with what I found in the house. Will not be accurate for spinning, but should be visually interesting. So fuck accuracy!
