Turning Up the Heat

Had our first formal production meeting today for Midsummer and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! So exciting! Seriously. You have no idea. I am crazypants and my brain is on fire and it is all so damn wonderful to be in full on Create Mode.
And at the same time, I have the To Do List From Hell, so I alternate between SQUEEE and OMG. O.O
Good times.

Colette is integrating into the fam like she’s always been here. Quelle surprise. She’s a live wire, but at the same time, the nervous, “Much keeping? Very stay? Wow?” energy is finally starting to dissipate, revealing even more of her sweetness and utter patience. For the love of small gods, the Bean was dragging her around by a leg today and she didn’t make a peep. *sigh* (My child, everyone. Let me show you her.)
Next step is to get her back to the vet, get her shots, AND A FUCKING MICROCHIP. Because she is ours now, and we are hers, and damn it, we will find her, gods forbid, anything should part us.
*growls at irresponsibility of bad pet owners*
Oh, and need to get lots of chew toys and a training chain collar. Cause whoa, not obedience trained on walks for just a harness. O.o Poor Ant got dragged to and from school today. Can we say Siberian? Can we say Urban Iditerod? Yes! MUSH!
(I’m seriously contemplating a sled…)

In the meantime, things progress. Cotton gloves have arrived. YAY. So I’m signing and packing prints for patient supporters.
It’s also starting to heat up again, so I’m back to frequent watering of the potted plants. But the rest of the garden is looking *fabulous*. Come Midsummer, it’s going to be amazing out there.
Now if only I could finish the damn edit on The Apocalypse Bell…
