Well. I've broached the subject with the Mouse. Her immediate response? "I go with you!"
*sigh*
Why can't I be independently wealthy? If I had my way, I'd be dragging my whole fam and the Mad Model to Florence with me. But such is not to be. I'm excited to be going, but I'm going to miss the hell out of my girl.

To everyone who came over yesterday for the Orphans Thanksgiving, thank you. You made the day utterly delightful and warmed me up for Florence. Knowing you're all rooting for me gives me a great boost. Thank you.

Today, we went to see Santa.
The Mouse asked for a puppy and a green bike with training wheels.
Santa looked at me and said, "Well, I'll have to check with my elves and see what we can do!"
I just looked at him and gave him a nod. To which he grinned like the jolly elf he was and said to the Mouse, "But I think we can work that out."
Needless to say, the Mouse was very, very excited.
Now to just make sure Santa can get everything down the chimney come Christmas Day.

I'm going to miss the start of Channukah. I'm actually a bit bummed about this. Yay for Florence! Boo for missing the start with my bestest
barriequark. You'd know why I felt this way if you'd had her latkes. Dude.

So that's that. Four days was too short to be home with my family. Ten days is going to be both too short and too long for Florence. But I'm committed now. Bags are packed.
Now to just get through the dayjob without killing anyone.
