Because there's never a bad time to put this one up again.

Is she not *fierce*?  FIERCE.  And I'm thinking that a few of my dear ones out there could use a little pick me up.  This one always picks *me* up.

SDCC is coming.  I have my schedule.  I have a tentative appt.  I have plans to hang at one of the bars in the evening to network.  I have childcare for during the day so the girls don't go completely loco from boredom.  Have only a couple of details to confirm/square away now.

I need to pull together the rest of my materials, and possibly buy a rolling bag of some sort, since carrying all this crap is probably insanity.  Or at least stuff it all in the stroller we're taking.  I've got to have my portfolio, a friend's portfolio and all the acoutrements of small child wrangling.  Whee.

There's gotta be an easier way, but I don't know what it is.

There's lots of other stuff going on around me and I'm fighting with my anxiety lately.  Worry.  Only thing that seems to be working for me is the Discipline, as E. Bear calls it, which seems to be doing good things for my energy level, if not entirely my waistline, and my sleep has improved.  If I could count on not being woken in the middle of the night by small children, I'd physically be doing pretty well.

I just need a new brain.

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be an option, though I looked into it.

We'll be okay. We did SDCC with Jane when she was younger than Grace and survived. Amusingly enough, we also got more free stuff than God, because everyone kept cooing over her and handing her stuff. I fear more the fact that the same effect may occur, times an exponent, rather than just times 2.

Yeah, we've done CC with V, too. I'd never consider doing it if I was trying to get WORK done simultaneously...

When we took Jane, we were working that time as well. SDCC isn't a vacation for us, like I said. It's one of the few times I can meet face to face with a lot of people regarding projects and ditto for Barrie.

Most folks are incredibly understanding. It just requires a lot more logistical planning and making sure that critical meetings are during the window that they'll be at childcare. The rest of the time, it's pretty informal.
