And a change of pace.
Love her look here.

Not even the 15th and I've actually been remarkably productive. Lots of good stuff happening, even in the face of other things. Financial foo continues, but appears to be slowly straightening out. Just knocking one thing down at a time.

Pumpkin is a flat out miracle kitten.
He's noticeably bigger. His eyes no longer bug out, so he no longer looks like an alien gray with patchy black fur. Little white furs are starting to grow in on his back and this morning?
This morning, he *mewed at me*. For breakfast. He's never done that.
And then he *purred*. He never audibly purred till this morning.
FeLV + or not, he's improving.
He's probably always going to be a special need kitty, with all that he's gone through. But I've gone from hope to a tiny bit of relief.

Hunt Press has pushed out the pre-order for Monica Marier's Must Love Dragons. Check it out! It's a hoot!

I've gotten in the weeds a bit with the final chapter of Broken Rainbow, but I've finally fought my way to the first wave of confrontations.
Just gotta keep swinging.

Date: 2010-01-13 10:04 pm (UTC)I'm thrilled to hear about Pumpkin! I do not want to give false hope at all...I've seen a number of cats die from FeLV and it's ugly stuff. But I read something interesting just the other day--apparently kittens that have tested positive for FeLV sometimes overcome the virus. Short version: have Pumkin and the rest of the kids tested again in 6-8 months. Might go better than first expected.

Date: 2010-01-13 10:39 pm (UTC)I also am feeling so much better about Pumpkin. I'd also heard about that. We're just going to keep propitiating Bast and Sekhmet. He's been a miracle so far. I don't see why he won't manifest another one.

Date: 2010-01-15 12:12 am (UTC)A question based on the carefully read submission guidelines:
For (non-memoir) nonfiction, it's customary (with agents and larger presses) to submit a proposal rather than a complete mss. Does Hunt Press accept proposals?
