As close as I've ever gotten to a *traditional* nude.
I like to see the face of the person I'm shooting. Even though there's a school of art photography out there that insists the minute you can see the face it is Portrait and not Nude (to which I say, fucking shut the fuck up), I'm not in to cutting the heads off my models.
For one thing, let's just think about that for a moment, shall we? That a naked form is only possible to be appreciated when you literally and figurative *cut their frikken' head off* is really fucking bent.
I dig the shape of this photo. I've done others where yes, faces are cropped out or obscured.
But that's never been about bowing to that convention that to make it a formal nude I had to do it. I've done it as the dictate of that image required it or not.
So to the guy who mailed me ages ago insisting that if I really wanted to mature into a "serious" fine art nude photographer?
Fuck you.
I'll keep my "portraits".

And no, I don't know where this rant came from, but apparently it was in the queue.
