New Story Tuesday
Jun. 16th, 2009 06:38 amI finished Draft 0 of Righteous Wave yesterday, the short story that mugged me because of a comment from James. :) I enjoy these kinds of stories with a bit of giddiness, because they're rare. Most of the time, I have to work my way through them. This one hit me between the eyes and then ran away, giggling, until I chased it.
I'm riding the endorphin wave of completion on this one for all its worth. Life is both amazing and pissy at the same time. The contrast feels like it should give me whiplash, but I seem to be maintaining my equanamity within certain bounds.
I am the living definition of ambivalent.
So. That being said, I choose to focus more on the good. Story's done. I had fun writing it. I have a working computer here at home. (YAY!) My daughters are healthy and happy, even if the older one is suddenly prone to the Drama lately. She's four, soon to be five. I guess she's entitled to Teh Drama.
I'm doing okay.
Ah, today's research topic: I'm looking for art marketing reference. If anyone has anything they know of or swear by in terms of getting art out in the world besides the gallery way, let me know. And no free website galleries. I'm already on too many. I'm talking real straight up PR and marketing tailored for the artist. Grazie!
