Possession

Well, the Amazing MMom goes home today, which bums me out no end. I'm not going to be able to see her off to the airport as the continuing lack of PTO at work, means my happy ass will be there. It's depressing. She understands, but I sure dislike it. It has been a lovely, low key visit. I can't remember the last time we just hung out and took it easy. I'm glad we didn't do too much running around.
Started the sketch in phase for the next painting and unlike the last one, I didn't step back and go, "GAH!" and have to sketch in something else entirely. This one was pretty definite in my head. We'll see how it renders out in paint.
I really don't want to go to work today. Not that I much care to most days, but today is especially giving me a case of the Mondays as far as the day job is concerned. That's one of the downsides of having an excellent weekend.
Got no writing done since Friday. This week will be catch up.
Yeah. Back to the grind. But at least next Monday is Presidents Day and another day off for me. Gotta appreciate the days off where I can get them.
And that's that. Time to get ready for work and share a last cup of coffee with MMom till August.
