Has anyone had any experience with the Venice Family Clinic on Rose in Venice? Apparently they won't even see her unless a) she calls and makes the appointment herself and b) qualifies in some arcane manner.
I'm going to need to take the Ant to the doctor for the foot. It's not the toe. It's the foot.
Also trying to get her enrolled in Medi-Cal.
Yeah.
We don't need fucking health care reform. Hell no. That's why I'm worried sick right now. Because my fucking job won't let me put her on my insurance.
Yeah.
My tax dollars are so much more better spent on three different war fronts that I absolutely don't give a shit about.
I'm going to completely lose it if no one will give her assistance because she lives with us and takes care of the kids. On top of that, even if she qualifies, the soonest they can see her is in *two weeks*. So we'll probably end up at the fucking emergency room either tonight or tomorrow anyway and I'll be busting out my old EMT training tonight.
Y'know, I sometimes regret that I washed out of becoming a paramedic, but at times like these, I'm glad I've got the training for these sorts of things. The system sure as shit isn't designed to help anyone without money or in trouble.
It's fucking wrong.
What the fuck is wrong with my country? If you can't help the sick and the injured, what the fuck good are you?
