Wednesday with Headache
Jun. 20th, 2012 05:56 pmStill running on less than adequate sleep and a mild headache this morning, but moseying along as best I can. I woke with plot hole answers for the novel, which was gratifying, because answering the “why?” question is half the job of writing a thriller, I sometimes think.
I also needed to up the stakes, and that’s coming together nicely, but it’s feeling like it’s moving slow, which I think is all in my head.
Husband is working long hours again, which is messing slightly with my training schedule, but it is what it is. I feel bad, because it dumps a lot on the Ant, but this is rather how our family works. The husband goes into Crunch. Momma runs what she can. The Ant plays clean up.
Honestly, I don’t know how families without extended members survive. If I didn’t have my sister living with us… Well, the less thought about that, the better.
In other news, the finance package for Vaudeville Goes to Hell continues to come together and is its own form of writing that is completely different from the kind of writing I’m doing on the novel. It is its own art and I don’t think people give enough credit to the folks who do technical/marketing writing. It’s a pain in the ass.
And that’s today’s thumbnail. I’m tired as all get out, so this isn’t particularly scintillating. I’ll see what I can do about livening it up around here…
