Fourteen Years Ago Today

I got on a plane with the Ant and flew to London for six weeks in Europe.

Only a few days after being there, I wrote the first line that would eventually become the beginning of Strange Weather.

In many ways, that one trip started the cascade of everything that's happened to me since, not unlike the first night I walked Fire for the first time, which also happened in an April, a year after.

So here's the first chapter of Strange Weather again. I promise to post the next four here in the next few days.

Planes, travel, taxes, spies, dark magicians. That's what April 15th means to me. I wouldn't have it be any other way.
