Yeah, I'm really about this close and only pushed the zoom in a bit to catch Asia here, well...painting.

She's quite the abstract artist, as was her friend whose name escapes me at this moment.

Elephants. Painting.

The circus lets you on to the floor before the performance and the performers signed autographs and did several close up acts. They didn't do this back when I went to the circus close on 19 years ago now.

It was incredible. Elephants that close are just the most amazing animal in the world. And I always have a soft spot for fellow painters.

So it's a few weeks late, but be prepared for circus photography for the next few days. It was a hell of a show.

Managed to run out to the mall last night and use the Gym Bucks I had from Gymboree and acquire more clothing for the Mouse and Bean. In another few weeks I'll need to do another run, as the Mouse needs school clothes. School clothes. Aiya! Kindergarten this year.

Where did the time go?

Mouse is pushing the limits lately too. She's as bored as bored can be, which is typical for summer and frankly, good. Learning to cope and manage boredom is a skill I don't see a lot of kids getting taught anymore. They're scheduled to an inch of their lives and driven all over creation.

Boredom teaches you how to harness your imagination.

So she's driving us a bit mad right now. And she wants everything in creation. And she has no concept of how much things cost. So lots of teaching moments when I'm not losing my mind.

In spite of all of that, she and her sister are the dearest people in my heart.

I'm exhausted this morning.

Tonight, I pick up a lateral file cabinet I scored on freecycle. Gods bless, freecycle. They are making my life so much easier.

But that's enough for now. Back to getting ready for the dayjob.
