One of the great privileges and pleasures reserved for the artist, is to give form to that which is unreal. All artists draw inspiration from reality; whether from personal experience, culture, myth, or the works of artists who proceeded them, but it is within an artist's mind that a new world --unique and distinctive-- takes shape. Its then by the artist's hand, that these unreal worlds are expressed to others, and the unreal becomes a reality to both the artist and the observer.
PROJEKT30:
PROJEKT30 is an artist run arts organization. Our mission is to expose artists to "brick and mortar" galleries interested in presenting their work, private collectors, patrons, or even simply just art lovers. All of our exhibitions are "publicly juried", meaning that site visitors construct the final exhibition by rating the artworks merit. Via this system we are helping shape the art world of the twenty-first century, and endeavoring to encourage broader public interest in the fine arts.
We've been in operation since 2003, so there are thousands of artworks
by hundreds of very talented artists. Go to http://www.projekt30.com for more.
