Pumpkin sun in an Autumn sky
I feel the hinge of the year
Swing beneath my feet
Bring the cooler nights
Bring the sooner stars
In a darkening sky
Where that pumpkin sun
Shows briefer and briefer
Till we reach the long dark
I'm done with Summer's heat
Bring me Winter's kiss
For pumpkin sun give way
To Winter white sky
And I would go to my Earth home
To sleep the long cold away
Rest from this wearisome year
And wake only for the Yule fire
Shine on my beautiful pumpkin sun
My joy to see You this morning
Fills my heart with Your orange fire
