Do you see how the fabric describes arms and a torso in the water?

OMG, BIG News FIRST!
I entered my photo book and barriequark's fanfiction novel, Sub Rosa, into the 2007 DIY Book Festival based here in LA. Yeah. They take everything. It's all about finding work for producers here. And a nice dinner, apparently, and awards.
Barrie WON the fan fiction category! She won! SHE WON, SHE WON, SHE WON!
Oh, and I got an Honarable Mention for Caryatid. *grin*
HOW THE FUCK COOL IS THAT???
I am so damn stoked for her. Me too.

And as if that wasn't enough...
I woulda uploaded the cover, but no workie. So. Instead, please have this instead:
My Winter Chapbook, Rubies for Her, is now available from Hunt Press! Huzzah! The annual collection of short stories for your enjoyment and easy gift giving! Yay!
It's very pretty.
It's not going to be available on Amazon for a little bit longer and frankly, it's probably going to be more expensive through Amazon. They've changed their retail thing recently and to at least break even, well, it's probably going to be more than direct through the Press and Lulu. Just wanted to give you all a head's up.
Anyway, it's up and if all goes well, I'll have the Caryatid 2008 calendars up for sale in the next week or so, over at the Hunt Press cafe press site. Keep checking back.
It's been a busy and productive weekend, even with heading out to a lovely party on Saturday. I could use more weekends like this.

All this work got done because it was a distraction. It's either work like a madwoman or fret myself to flinders over the art pick up tomorrow. Freight truck. Art. Cargo plane to Florence, Italy. GAH!
Did I mention it's less than 40 days now till I leave? Not that I'm counting the days or anything.
I must make more collaterol. I must make more collaterol...

Oh, and Annie Lennox has a new album out. She's frikkin' awesome. I can only hope to be half as cool as her some day.
Life is damn good.
